In the month of Ramadan, the holy time,
Muslims fast and seek a higher climb.
A time of reflection, of prayer and of peace,
And to give to others, all troubles to ease.
As the sun rises, the fast begins,
With no food or drink, as the day begins.
The hunger and thirst, a reminder so dear,
Of those who suffer, all year after year.
In the evening, with family and friends,
The fast is broken, and the spirit ascends.
A feast for the soul, as well as the heart,
With gratitude and love, that will never depart.
The Quran recited, in each and every day,
A guiding light, to show the righteous way.
And in the Night of Power, a special treat,
A chance to connect, with the Divine so sweet.
Oh, Ramadan, a time to purify,
To seek forgiveness, and to fortify.
A time for compassion, and to do what's right,
A month of blessings, with love and light.
